Sorry it has been so long! I am going to upload some pictures and ramble on for a bit! We recently relocated to Kimberly, Idaho. Kirk decided after 16 years of Wal-Mart that he needed a change in pace. He is now working for Pilot Travel Center. He will be working at the Flying J in Twin Falls. I am currently not working and loving it! I enjoy being home with the kids and I am still going to school at ISU. Eli, Kyler and Maggie transitioned very well to the move and they are having a blast! I'd post more but I think people like pictures better so here ya go!

Kyler will be having his surgery this month. I think we are going to stay away from bone surgery at this time. They decided his tibia is not rotating in but his femor and this bone has much growing left so the hope is that by releasing some tendons this will help stop his femor from rotating in. He will have 6 releases total. His posterior tibialis muscle, his hamstring, and his adductors in each leg. Estimated time in the hospital is 6 days. Estimated time in casts 6 weeks. Feel free to send him a card or come buy and see him! He would be thrilled. Thanks for everyones thoughts and prayers.

I was sick over the weekend and Kirk took the kid's down to the park so I could sleep with out all the noise! I very much appreciated it. He took the camera and took some cute pictures of the kids.

I can't believe that Mr. Kyler is going to be 7! I rememeber everyone always telling me how fast they grow up and it is so true! He is reading and writing, and riding a bike. He is such a happy sweet kid! Here is a little update as well on his surgery. There has been some contradiction between two doctors on what surgery he should have. So, here is the plan. We go down June 14th and we will do another gait analysis study. They want to make sure they are doing the best thing for Kyler. Then for the next few hours, a team of doctors will go over his performance and analyze data and come to an aggreement of what needs to be done. So we we know the night before surgery what will be done! AHH! He is still schd. for June 15th and when I know more, well I guess when I know on June 14th what will be done I will let you all know. My sister and her family came up for the weekend and the kids spent some time at Grandpa and Grandmas sledding. No I am not sledding! I hate snow! The kids had fun! Oh and yes I have a camera! Yeah! More to come!

Alright I know it has been like forever but I don't have a camera! I did take a few shots from my phone so I decided it was time to post so everyone new how things were going for us!

Kirk is still an Assistant Manager in the Blackfoot Walmart. They recently made some changes so he now works 3 days on and 3 days off! I love his days off but when he works 3 12's it feels like he is gone forever!

I'm still going to school. I no longer work at the Ameritel. I have been working night audit at the Le Ritz since March and I love it!

Kyler is in the first grade and is doing well. He is playing soccer this year and having a blast.

Maggie is definitly at the terrible two stage but for some reason I don't think it will go away at three!

Eli came over for the first time this weekend and we had a good time. He is in middle school and growing up fast.

Finally a few and I mean a few pictures. I'm sorry I promise to get more when I get a camera!

Okay so getting out your tonsils is horrible! I'm on day 6 and not feeling any better! The pain radiates into my ears! I can barely choke water and my medicine down. I would much rather have 10 c-sections then get my tonsils out again! The only plus side is I've lost 9 lbs in six days! Good grief!

So I justed wanted to let you all know even though I got very sick again this weekend, my lungs were clear enough to take my tonsils out! Yippee! I went in at 7 came home at 830. I feel great so far. I know usually day 2-4 are the worst but I can handle it! It's not bad at all for how many horror stories I heard! So I feel thrilled about the outcome and hopefully I won't be sick every two weeks!

p.s. Grandma can you send me your email address again? I thought I saved it but can't find it. Did it snow there today?

Well I am sorry I don't have any pictures. I dropped my camera and it broke! I justed wanted to tell you my baby, Kyler lost his first tooth! He actually hit my knee and it fell out! Thank goodness it was already loose! I felt so bad! I had know idea he had hit my knee. He had actually gotten in trouble so I sent him to his room. When I went to talk to him in his room about getting in trouble his mouth was bleeding! I said Kyler what happened! He said mom you knocked my tooth out! I said, I did not how did that happen! He told me when I picked him up his mouth hit my knee. Than he said, It's okay mom, I'm not mad! It was how to get my loose tooth out!"

Easter

Every Easter we go down to Blackfoot to Kirk's sister house for an Easter Egg hunt! The kids absolutely love it! I think Maggie was stuffed full of candy and cookies before it even started though because in every picture her face is a mess! Luckily Maggie gets stuffed full of sugar on a regular basis so she didn't get a sugar high! I know not a good thing but she does love her food! Kyler had a great time looking for eggs and playing at his Aunts. It was time to eat and he was laying down on the floor. I said, come on Kyler time to eat. He said, I'm not Kyler mom I'm just a talking floor mat! Eli also had fun but he was getting over strep so he was tired most the day.

It was the first nice day that we had that both Kirk and I had off together. We took the kids to see the Easter Bunny at Walmart and then to feed the ducks. Maggie cried because she was scared of the Easter Bunny and Maggie cried because she was scared of the ducks. We then decided to get a pizza and take the kids to the park. About a year ago the built a playground that was made for kids with disabilities. It is big enough for kids to get their walkers up and, it also has blue padding instead of rocks or woodchips. It is a nice place to take the kids. Usually we are the only ones there but it was packed today. Kyler and Eli had a blast but little Miss Maggie cried at the slide, and cried at the swing. She has got to create some kind of drama over everything! Enjoy the pictures!

Kirk also took the boys to a Utah Jazz game on the 28th of March. The camera had been acting up but here is a shot of Kyler enjoying the game.

I know I have not posted anything new lately and I'm so sorry! I have been very busy and I haven't had anytime. I will get some cute easter pictures up next week!
Yesterday I made a jello cake and I threw away the coolwhip in the garbage can. I had just gotten Maggie out of the bathtub. I turned around and in her hands was the container of coolwhip! She had been licking it and it was all over her face and in her hair! I went and grabbed the camera and realized the batteries were dead! I was so upset!

Also, do not be afraid! I do not beat my child! I was doing my hair and Maggie found a container of lipgloss! She put it all over her arm! It looks like a big bruise! I think the terrible twos are here!

Maggie is becoming quite the character. I wish I had more pictures of her and Kyler. They are becoming great little buddies. Eli and Maggie are also becoming good buddies and Maggie loves seeing him on the weekend. Maggie loves to dance and she gets a lot of encouragement from her brothers. Kyler and I were sitting in church the other day and he said, "Maggie is just gorgeous, just gorgeous! I will post a video of her dancing. It is a little blurry, and I'm not sure why. HaHa! AS I am sitting here typing Maggie is trying to put Kylers underwear on. I am not sure why but she has a fascination with his underwear. Maybe I need to start potty training her! Kyler is also very funny. Yesterday in the car he told me he needed a new coat. I said that I didn' think so that he just got a new one. He said, "But mom when you zip up my coat, it puffs out and makes me look like Mr. fat fat guy!" The pictures I am posting are only Maggie but hopefully I get on the ball and take more of everyone in the family!

Sick Kids!

Does anybody else out there kid tired of sick kids? Oh my goodness! I'm not adding any pictures today just to tell you that my kids are always sick! Maggie has had a chronic ear infection for three months and has been on antibiotic after antibiotic! One morning she woke up and there was all this stuff oozing out of her ear! Along with all that sticky stuff I saw her ear tube, which obviously was not helping at all! So, we have schd. to see the ENT on Thursday to talk about doing the tubes again! I felt so bad for her! Then Yesterday Jessica, a lady in my ward that watches the kids, text me during class and said Kyler was wheezing. I felt so bad for Jessica! I came home and Kyler was wheezing but not as bad as earlier. I wasn't sure if it was Astma or what so I took him to see his Dr. His Dr. said he bet it was just Croup and not Astma so not to get to concerned except that it was weird Kyler would get Croup in the middle of day. After listen to Kyler he said, okay I was wrong! Kyler is having an episode of croup with striter(spelling) and also an Asthma attack. He said Kyler was also suffering from a double ear infection and that his tonsils were gigantic. Kyler has had lympnodes that were swollen for over a year now, but no one really has given me an answer. So, we are taking Kyler back to the ENT as well, to discuss getting his tonsils out, and a scope to see if we can figure out what is going on with his breathing! On top of that Kyler has been waking up in he middle of the night, or very early so our doctor is wondering if Kyler is startling himself from suffering from sleep apnea because of all his breathing problems. My kids have been through a lot so pain doesn't seem to affect them. They never tell me when they are sick or hurting! Ahh! Let's hope all goes well at the ENT!

Kyler Spotlight

Kyler was born March 16th, 2003. He was three months early and weighed a whopping three pounds. Kyler was a pretty quiet baby. I didn't really think much about it because it was my first baby. Of course I had concerns because he was so early, but my mom and sister Aimee really clued in that there was something wrong. Kyler was not sitting up by the time he was 1 so we took him to SLC for a MRI. This is when my world came crashing down. Kyler's diagnosis was Periventrical Leukamalasia. I hope I spelled that right. From this condition other things can branch out. Down Syndrome, bliness, and Cerebral Palsy. Kyler developed Cerebral Palsy. At the time, I was so depressed. I was told he probably would not walk or talk. I couldn't imagine not being able to express to Kyler in words my love for him, or for not to be able to express what he was feeling. We immediately got Kyler into PT, OT and speech. He started developing very well, and I couldn't be any prouder than I am now. He is always making gains, and is walking very well with his crutches. He also talks non-stop! He is very humorous and makes me laugh everyday. When I first found out about Kyler having CP I was so mad. But the smile on his face is enough to make anyones day brighen. He is an amazing smart kid, and I am very blessed to have such a sweet child.

I just have to tell you how proud I am of Kyler. Despite his disability he is a very happy, and determined little boy. He can make me laugh and brighten my day no matter how sad I am feeling. He has come such a long way and I dont' think he would have progressed this much with out that determination and postive attitude! I often get upset and think why did God give me a child with a disability? Why Kyler? He is so smart, so fun, and so happy. Why can't he be normal? But as he gets older, well I guess as I get older too, I realize who wants normal? I can't imagine having Kyler any other way. That happy bright eyed kid is the best thing in this world, and anyone who can't see that is the one with the disability.

About Time

I am so sorry that I have not posted anything forever! I have been so busy with school, work and the kids that I honestly have not had a spare minute! I am just going to make this short and sweet and hopefully over the next few weeks I will have more time to take some good pictures.
We enjoyed putting the tree up even though it is only half decorated. I was hoping this would keep Maggie from getting the ornaments all pulled down. However, I was taking a shower the other day and I heard some clanking noises. So I opened the curtain and underneath the door Maggie had placed three ornaments! Still cute! Eli also keeps asking if he can open up his presents now since he will not be with us for Christmas. I told him no because Santa hadn't delivered them yet. I don't think he believed me though. Kyler also is getting very excited. He asks everyday if Christmas is tomorrow. When I tell him it is not for a few more weeks, he says, "No, your wrong because the snow is here!"

Kyler says and does the funniest things! I wish I would write them all down in a book because I forget them. He always likes to surprise me. He was taking a bath the other day and yelled at me to come in there because he had a surprise! I went in and he said, Look mom, I cleaned your tub for you! He had gotten my new can of shaving gel and sprayed it all out! I do have to admit, it looked and smelled great!

We went to Logan a few weeks ago for a family Christmas party. It was great to see my grandpa and all of our family. The kids really enjoyed it as well. I can't believe how nice it was down there. I forget what it feels like not to live in a place that is always blowing!

Maggie's Surgery

Maggie had her surgery today. It went very well but I wasn't expecting her eyes to be so red. Everything went well and Maggie is back to running all over the place. The doctor said we won't know for 10 to 12 weeks if it really worked or not so keep Maggie in your prayers. We don't want her to have to do it again. Kyler is such a sweet kid. He saw his little sister and started crying. I am not sure if he is scared or sad!

Happy Halloween!

The kids had a great time on Halloween. Kirk was working until 7 so I took them down to Snake River Landing where local business's decorated RV's and gave out candy and coupons. It was a long wait and a long walk, but I think it was worth the wait.

I met kirk in Blackfoot and Maggie and I went home while Kirk took the boys out. We will have candy for weeks.

Spotlight

I decided that I am going to spotlight each person. I have so many pictures of Maggie that I decided I better start with her first.

Maggie Sue Rogers was born 7-19-07. She was 7 weeks early but still weighed 6.6 lbs. She had a little bit of a rough start due to the fact that she was early. They also think I may have had Gestational Diabetes because of the way Maggie reacted. She ended up staying in the NICU for 1 month. She made it home just in time for her first family reunion!

Maggie is doing very well and is hitting all her milestones. It took her a little longer to sit up but once she got that down she was on a roll! She even walked before she was a year old! She is a great eater and already has 12 teeth! She had to get tubes put in her ears because she had a condition called glue ear. Since getting the tubes in, her personality has come alive! She can say hi, bye, doggy, baby, hear you go, peek-a-boo, and of course mommy, and daddy.

She also developed a lazy eye so she will be having surgery on the 7th of November to correct this. We are so lucky to have such a sweet girl. We love her very much!

A LITTLE BUSY

I have been very busy lately and I have not had anytime to jump on the computer or even take pictures. However, a few of you have told me that my blog is boring! I'm sorry! Here are a few recent pictures and hopefully I can take more and get them posted soon!

Maggie is growing up so fast. She is developing quite the personality. I have noticed that she has a little bit of her mom's shyness in here. She is starting to say a few words. My favorite things that she says are peek-a-boo, here you go, doggy, thank you, and baby.

Kyler is doing very well in school and enjoys it very much. He is using his crutches more and his becoming very confident with them. He is such a polite little boy. Kyler wants to be a cop when he gets older so Kirk and I took him down to the police station to have a tour of a car. Officer McKenna showed us his K-9 car and allowed Kyler to sit in the driver sit and turn on the sirens. He loved it! When he was done showing Kyler the car I asked Kyler if he had any question. He just gave a big smile and said, "Thank you!"

Eli is busy and doing quite well in school this year. We don't get to see him very much but enjoy the times when he is here. He has made a lot of new friends this year. He can't get enough of Maggie. I don't know how he makes it without her. He said for christmas he wanted a clone of Maggie to take home to his mom's.

We were going to take the kids to the fair on Saturday, but the prices were unbelievable! It costs 4 to 5 dollars for 1 kid to ride 1 ride. So we decided to have another fun day! We took the kids swimming first and then we took them down to the falls to feed the ducks! They had a lot of fun! I am not sure if Maggie had more fun feeding the ducks or eating the bread!

It was a tough decision but Kirk and I decided to start Kyler in Kindergarten this year. We had him enrolled in a development Kindergarten and decided academically he was ready for regualar Kindergarten. His teacher is Mr. Byrd and he says Kyler is doing great!

Mischievous Maggie

I can't believe how much trouble Maggie can get into in one day! She looks so sweet and innocent but behind that smile we have a mischievous daughter that is into everything!

Kyler is growing up so fast! I can't believe he is 5 years old. I work graveyards and I usually try to sneak a nap in when Maggie is asleep. I told Kyler to wake me up if he needed to go potty or if he needed something else. I woke up to him yelling, "Tara! Tara! Come here quick!" I ran into the hallway and he pointed at the toilet. He went potty all by himself! One of us usually has to help him get his underwear down because of his stiff muscles and then hold him up the the toilet. But sure enough was the evidence on the toilet just like all little boys and men pee! I was so proud of him!

He is also such a great big brother! He shares everything he can with his little sister!

I was a little worried putting Maggie to sleep without the bottle for the first time. I thought it was going to be absolutely horrible! As you can see she had no problems!

She is also developing quite the personality and is getting into everything! She enjoys hiding things from us. We found Kirk's cell phone in her toy box, and we found the home phone in the closet she is playing in. She also got all the soap out and was walking around with it! The biggest thing is her shoe fettish! She take off with all of our shoes!

We enjoyed going to Blacktail with Kirk's family last Saturday. Kyler thought the boat was awesome and had a good time sitting in the front with Grandma Madge. They kept splashing each other and Kyler was begging Uncle Duane to hit more waves! Duane and Lanett brought a tube and Kirk and I had a lot of fun on it. It has been a long time since I have done that and I was very sore the next day! I could barely move my arms. Duane kept getting close to big waves and I knew his plan was to flip us. Every time he got close I told Kirk I was going to let go because I didn't want to flip! I guess I'm not as adventurous as I use to be! We had a great time and look forward to doing it again!

We celebrated our 5th year of marriage on July 12th! We went down to Salt Lake for our first night away from the baby! It was some what relaxing. We had to make a stop in Ogden to see my 88 year old Grandpa Jenkins go skydiving! Yes, I did say skydiving. I think I was more nervous then him! He had fun and I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again!

We went on our first family vacation this summer! We decided to save money by taking are tiny Chevy Cobalt instead of the minivan! I am actually quite suprised to say that it wasn't as bad as I imagined. The kids were great and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in Pendelton, Oregon the first night and the kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and going for a walk. Kyler could not wait to get up the next morning for our vacation to begin. We were headed for Lincoln City, Oregon to stay in a beach house. We met up in Portland where my sister Holly lives. We met my parents, and Aimee's kids at her house where we had a quick bite to eat and then headed for the coast. We had a big birthday party for Maggie and all the other cousins as well. I can't believe she is already one!

The first day we went to a glass blowing shop and the kids were amazed at how it turned out in the end! We then headed up to see the Yaquina lighthouse and Kirk carried Kyler clear to the top so he could see out. After that we headed to The Oregon Coast aquarium in Newport. Kyler and Eli really enjoyed the different types of fish. Eli touched a sting ray and Kyler touched a starfish.

The second day some of us went out on a boat to go whale watching. We did get to see a whale! We did not get any pictures but Kirk was able to record it on video.

We also enjoyed going to the Evergreen Aviation Museum where we saw the Spruce Goose. I am not sure who had more fun there; the kids or Kirk.

It was great spending time with the family at the beach house. Eli and Kyler loved running from the waves. Maggie didn't quite enjoy that part as much but she had fun watching! We are excited for our next adventure!

We noticed Maggie had some balance problems since she started trying to sit. It made us a little nervous since she was early and also with Kyler's history. We found out she has had fluid in her ears and this was the source of all her problems. It was called Glue Ear. We were told by the ENT that after she got tubes put in he would bet she would be walking a week later. Well here is the proof!

We had a great camping trip the last weekend in June. Kyler and Eli really enjoyed fishing while Maggie enjoyed playing in the dirt. Kirk and I had fun riding the 4-wheelers! We decided we really want to get some so we can go anytime we want!

Kyler once again was the only one to catch a fish.
